Turn auto-updates on or off
Tap 
profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Tap 
more options in the top right, then tap 
Settings and privacy.
Tap About, then tap App updates.
Tap next to Auto-update Instagram to turn auto-updates on or off.
If you don’t see the App Updates option, follow these steps:
Open your mobile phone’s device settings
Tap Application Manager or Apps
Tap Meta App Installer
Tap Disable to turn updates off or Enable to turn them back on
